In 1944 the Geroux family lived at 225, Margaret Street in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York [2].
Robert had completed four years of high school.
Enlisted on October 6, 1942, he served with the 460th Bombardment Group (Heavy), 763rd Bombardment Squadron. He was transferred to the 885th Bombardment Squadron on September 11, 1944 [3]. He flew twelve special missions with the 885th totaling over 96 hours of combat time.
